Odisha's man creates mini chariots for Lord Jagannath using matchsticks

Jagannath Rath Yatra is of great importance in Sanatan Dharma. The main leela land of Lord Jagannath is puri of Odisha. In Odisha, semi-built statue from wood of Lord Jagannath, Balbhadra and Subhadra are installed. The Jagannath Rath Yatra of God begins at Jagannathpuri on the second day of Ashadh Shukla Paksha. The world's famous annual Rath Yatra will be held in The City of Jagannath Nagari Puri on July 12 in Odisha, Eastern India.

On this auspicious occasion, miniature artist L Ishwar Rao has performed his art and built three chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balbhadra and Mata Subhadra with matchsticks. In fact, Lord Rao lives with his family in Jatni village in Khurda district of Bhubaneswar. As the Jagannath Rath Yatra is scheduled to begin from July 12.

On this special occasion, Rao has made a chariot of Mahaprabhu Jagannath and his brother Balbhadra and sister Mata Subhadra using matchsticks. The height of this chariot is 4. It is 5 inches and it has taken 9 days to prepare. A total of 435 matchsticks have been used in the chariot. There are four wheels in each chariot. A rope cordon has been erected for the corridor around the chariot. Rao described the chariot in detail and said that the statues of Lord Jagannath, Balbhadra and Mata Subhadra seated inside the chariot are made of sacred neem wood. The height of all these statues is 1 inch. A small rope has been tied in front of all the chariots to make it look completely real.
