BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has unveiled 13 industrial projects worth Rs 2359.29 crore, which will employ over 3,200 people in the state. Patnaik on Monday virtually inaugurated two industrial plants with a total investment of Rs 409.03 crore, as well as laying ground on 11 projects totaling Rs 1,950.26 crore.
"Odisha is quickly developing as the manufacturing hub of Eastern India," Patnaik stated at the event. The progressive policy framework and regulatory environment created by our government has allowed the state's industries to flourish quickly." Businesses in the state have continued to develop as a result of the adoption of ease of doing business reforms and facilitation offered by various government ministries, he added.
"Not only in terms of economic development, but also in terms of social responsibility, our industries have been actively collaborating with the state government." Our government has been emphasising on equipping Odisha's youth with industry-ready skills, and many businesses have expressed interest in participating in our skill development projects, he said.
He explained that the 13 projects that have been broken ground and inaugurated today are spread throughout nine districts. These initiatives are also spread throughout all investment categories, including small, medium, and large businesses, he added.
