Bhubaneswar: Orrissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has given strict warning to the police officers of his state regarding the functioning. He said that the police should either work properly, or else the consequences will be ready to suffer. Before the 'Mo Sarkar' (my government) program started, Naveen Patnaik told all the police station chiefs of the state that they should be ready to face punishment if they do not get the reward by working for the public. The CM said these things during a conversation with the heads of all 365 police stations of the state.

As part of the 'Mo Sarkar' initiative, the CM will speak directly to the people who go to the police stations and take a response from them. The Chief Minister will do the same in the case of government hospitals. An official of the Chief Minister's Office said that 'Mo Sarkar' is a unique initiative of its kind across the country. The Odisha CM told the police officers, 'In this scheme starting from October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti), I will call ten phones per day.

Based on the response, immediate action will be taken. Those who do better will be appreciated and those who do not work will be taken action against. Patnaik said, "We are administering the administration with taxpayer's money." We take our salary from public money. It is our duty to treat people coming to the police station in a dignified manner. We should be sensitive to public problems.
