BHUBANESWAR: The government of Odisha has demanded Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to introduce Vande Bharat Express trains on Puri-Howrah, Puri-Raipur and Bhubaneswar-Hyderabad routes.
State Commerce and Transport Minister Tukuni Sahu requested the introduction of the Vande Bharat express train on the Puri-Howrah, Puri-Raipur, and Bhubaneswar-Hyderabad routes in a letter to the Minister.
As the nation's eastern entryway, Odisha has made a substantial contribution to the nation's growth engine. According to Sahu, with rapid expansion, people's aspirations are always rising.
"During the last two years, Odisha has drawn the most investment and has had tremendous economic growth during the past two decades. We have repeatedly called for the quick growth of the state's rail network since the state has a significant economic impact on the nation, said the Minister. Except for Odisha, Vande Bharat express trains have been introduced throughout the nation to provide faster connectivity, said Sahu.
In order to provide passengers with faster travel choices, she asked Vaishnaw to introduce the Vande Bharat express train between Puri and Howrah.
Sahu demanded the introduction of the express train between Puri and Rourkela connecting Sambalpur, claiming that there are only a handful of quicker trains that connect western Odisha and the state capital Bhubaneswar. She continued by saying that it would increase intra-state economic activity and link the airports in Jharsuguda, Rourkela, and Bhubaneswar.
