Odisha Train Tragedy : Railway's JE Amir Detained by CBI says Report

Bhubaneshwar:- The June 2 triple train accident at Balasore(Odisha) took away the lives of 292 passengers and injured over a thousand. On June 19 rented house of Junior Engineer Amir Khan was sealed reported the CBI. When CBI team reported to his house in Annapurna Rice Mill in SORO his house was locked and CBI later sealed it. Khan is suspect in Odisha’s Triple Train Tragedy as per CBI reports.

Amir Khan the Junior Engineer played a vital role in ensuring train operations run smoothly and safely. He was responsible for Installing, Repairing and maintaining interlocking systems, signals, machines,etc.

According to Media Reports two CBI personnel are watching the house after the JE had reportedly flew away with family after initial questioning, however, CPRO Railway authorities have now refuted claims but at the same time there is no clear statement by CBI.

According to a report Amir has been detained by CBI and is being Questioned.

 “A few media reports are coming in that a Bahanaga staff is absconding and missing. This is factually incorrect. The entire staff is present & a part of inquiry. They are appearing before agency,” said Aditya Kumar Chaudhary, CPRO South Eastern Railway.
