Delhi Lockdown: Ola-Uber services closed till 31st March

New Delhi: Amidst outbreak of Coronavirus, the entire Delhi has been locked. Meanwhile, the cab service company Uber has temporarily cancelled all the rides. Until March 31, no Uber ride will be booked in Delhi. Ola, the other company providing cab facilities, has also supported the lockdown.

UN calls for immediate global ceasefire to fight corona

The Ola spokesperson says that we are with the country in this effort to fight Corona and will work with a minimum network of vehicles to facilitate people in essential services. He said that Ola will encourage citizens to travel only for essential and emergency needs as per the instructions of the government. It is noteworthy that CM Kejriwal had announced that international and domestic transport services including metro, inter-state buses will be closed in Delhi from 6 am to 31 March 12 pm. Only 25 percent of DTC buses will run on the roads for emergencies.

All boundaries have been sealed by applying Section 144 in Delhi till 12 noon on 31 March. During this period, orders have been issued to keep all kinds of shops, business establishments and factories closed as well. However, drug shops, fruit-vegetable shops and milk plants will remain open. CM Arvind Kejriwal said that after checking the situation, the next decision will be taken after March 31.
