Gurugram: In a bizarre incident, A 62-year-old man allegedly killed himself on Saturday by jumping off the 18th floor balcony of an apartment building in Sector 103, police said.

The victim was identified as Saheb Singh, a retired Army officer, by his relatives, who said he was mentally ill. No suicide note was found, they added.

According to the police, the body was sent to a mortuary for a post-mortem examination.

Assistant of sub-inspector Parmanand said Singh, a Delhi resident, and his wife had arrived at his daughter's flat in the residential complex about five days ago.He said he jumped off the flat's balcony approximately 5.20 a.m."The cause of the suicide has yet to be determined. 'We're looking into that," the Assistant of sub-inspector  said.
