At the same time, the employees of most states are demanding to restore the old pension scheme. In the midst of this, a piece of big news has come out regarding the old pension scheme. These days, in the midst of ongoing discussions about the pension scheme, economists say that the old pension scheme can prove to be very fatal for the country's economy. A warning has also been given by the former RBI governor regarding this. On the other hand, if we talk about Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Rajasthan falling in the category of poor states, the annual pension liability here is about Rs 3 lakh crore. 

Let us tell you that there is a huge difference between the new and old pension schemes, due to which the employees and pensioners are demanding to restore the old pension scheme. At the time of retirement in OPS, employees get half of their salary as a pension. At the same time, 10 percent of the employee's basic salary + DA is deducted in the new pension scheme. The special thing about the old pension scheme is that no money is deducted from the salary of the employees. Apart from this, there is no provision of DA to be received after 6 months in the new pension. Apart from this, payment in old pensions is made through the treasury of the government. At the same time, there is no guarantee of a fixed pension in the new pension. 

Talking about the old pension scheme, even after the death of the retired employee, his family members get a pension. For example, let us tell you that if an employee is getting a salary of Rs 80,000 now, then after retirement, according to the old pension scheme, he will get a pension of about Rs 35 to 40 thousand. Apart from this, in the new pension, this employee will get a pension of about 800 to 1000 rupees. Let us tell you that earlier Chhattisgarh Government, Rajasthan Government, and Punjab Government implemented the old pension system. Along with this, the Himachal government has also implemented this system.
