Om Puri recently made a distasteful statement in a debate with a few political leaders and father of Kargil war martyr Captain Vijayant Thapar. The veteran actor's remark was totally unexpected.

Om Puri with his statement clearly insulted Indian martyrs in trying to defend the ban. What he said is not acceptable, “Humne Kisi Ko Force Kiya Ki Tum Fauj Mein Jao."

“Prepare 15-20 people as suicide bomber and send them to Pakistan," he added.

When he was attacked by political leaders on his statement by saying you want to work with Salman, he said, "I give a damn about Salman Khan or any other Khan.” Anupam Kher condemned his remarks on Twitter.
