Elephant creates panic in Chila Colony, takes life of an elderly person

Dehradun: The fear of diseases is increasing day by day, the chain of accidents is creating a situation of innocence among innocent people, every day somewhere, some such news comes to the fore. Panic is spreading among the people with the news. Every day there is only one question in everyone's mind with these increasing news whether it is safe to live in their homes now or not, while the 66-year-old man behind the Chila Colony was crushed and died by an elephant. Laxmanjhula police station reached the spot after information, sent the body to AIIMS for postmortem.

According to the information, in the early hours of Tuesday, an elephant was injured in a mutual struggle near Chila which lay on the banks of the Ganges for a long time. Later, after wandering on the banks of the Ganges, descended into the Ganges and went towards Chila, a large crowd gathered to see the elephant. On Monday evening, a person named Ashish Gaur informed the police about the dead body behind the Chila Colony. Sub Inspector Jagveer Sajwan, who arrived on the spot, conducted an investigation, then prima facie the death of the elephant came to light.

The deceased has been identified as Prem Bahadur, aged 66, son Bal Bahadur, resident of Chila Colony. Sajwan said that the deceased may have gone there for a short visit. During this time, the elephant must have attacked them. Seeing the dead body, it is clear that the death has happened due to the crushing of the elephant. After informing the family about the incident, the body has been sent to AIIMS for post mortem. Weeds are shed at the deceased's house.
