The ICU of an Egyptian hospital suddenly lost oxygen supply, killing all the patients admitted there. Now the government has issued orders for action in this case. The video of the incident in the public hospital on Sunday (January 3, 2021) is also going viral on social media, in which nurses are seen battling to bring patients alive.
All these patients were Covid-19 infected. The incident took place in the Al-Sharqiya province of Egypt, where the governor has denied that he has gone to the ICU because of the lack of oxygen supply. This charge was made by a relative of a patient, which the government has rejected. Governor Mamdooh Ghorb said that these patients died because they had chronic diseases in addition to Covid-19 infection.
Not only this, Egypt has become the most populous country in Arabia with a population of 100 million, and Al-Sharqiya is the third largest province there. The lockdown has been imposed again due to increasing Corona cases. The Prosecutor's Office has said that the case is being processed. The hospital's director as well as doctors are also being questioned. No information has been given to the media.
