Telengana- Hydrabad : Three more cases of Omicron have tested positive for Covid-19's Omicron variant in Telangana on Sunday, December 26, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 44.
The two passengers have arrived from "at risk" countries and one perpson who was a close contact of an Omicron patient. Two of the 248 passengers who came from outside at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Sunday tested positive for Covid.
According to the health bulletin, sixteen samples, including these two, have been sent to genome sequencing, and the results are pending. Authorities examined 11,493 people at the international airport since December 1, and 85 of them tested positive for Covid, with 45 of them having the Omicron variant.
Ten Omicron patients have recovered, while the remaining 34 are getting treatment. Only four patients came from nations considered "at risk."
