New Delhi: It has become necessary to follow corona safety rules and take vaccine doses to avoid the third wave of corona infection. But if you have been infected, you should also know the right medicine and treatment to recover quickly. WHO (World Health Organization) last week also recommended two new drugs in corona treatment. Let us know which drugs can be treated with corona and which drugs to avoid in the current situation, as per the guidelines of the WHO.
According to the same WHO, corona treatment can now be given to drug patients such as Baricitinib, Ruxolitinib, Sotrovimab, Casirivimab-Imdevimab, Tocilizumab or Sarilumab. Experts are more focused on drugs such as Baricitinib, Tocilizumab or sarilumab and systematic corticosteroids. While Ruxolitinib, Tofacitinib, Sotrovimab and Casirivimab-Imdevimab are recommended to be given to the patient alternatively or under certain circumstances. WHO claims that all these drugs can reduce the risk of death from infection, rapidly increasing cases in hospitals and the chances of going on ventilators. The guidelines also recommend not to use some drugs. These drugs were used in many countries due to the previous wave of the corona.
Don't use these medicines:-
WHO has recommended not to use drugs such as Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, Lopinavir/Ritonavir and Remdesivir. Experts say there is no evidence of hospitalisation and reduced risk of death from these drugs. Some of these drugs have been recommended to be sent for a clinical trial. At the same time, the drug Casirivimab-Imdevimab can be used in corona infected children.
