As Jaden Smith celebrated his 25th birthday, Will Smith couldn't help but make a joke about him. The singer and actor wished Jaden a happy birthday on Instagram, but he couldn't resist giving him a fun jab about not having any children just the same. On his 25th birthday, Will Smith mocked his son Jaden Smith in a lighthearted manner.
On Saturday, the 54-year-old shared a happy birthday message on Instagram with a black-and-white photo of himself and Jaden. Smith wrote a heartfelt comment for his son in which he also expressed his surprise at Jaden's age of 25 and the fact that he is childless.
"Happy Birthday, J-Diggy. It's crazy that you're 25?!?! When I was 25 I had a 2 yr. old… I'm just sayin'… Wha's up? What you doin' over there? BTW, this is my favorite picture of us. ???? @jas," Smith wrote.
When Will was 25 years old, his oldest son Trey was two years old and he was already a fixture on television thanks to his lead role in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Prior to his youngest daughter Willow and following Trey, Jaden is Will's second child. While Trey was conceived during Will's first marriage to Sheree Zampino, Jaden and Willow are shared by Will and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
Jaden disclosed last month that he and his family utilise psychedelic drugs, which he claimed his mother brought to their home, at the Psychedelic Science conference in Denver.
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Zampino, who currently appears on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, discussed the co-parenting interactions between her, Will, and Jada. Although she admitted that there were difficulties at first, she commended Jada for being "amazing" to Trey. Zampino emphasised that she is confident in her capacity as Trey's mother and doesn't see how having Jada around would compromise that.
Will's birthday tribute to Jaden exemplifies their humorous and adoring relationship. The lighthearted mention of having children may have made people laugh, but it also emphasises the special connection they have. It is obvious that the Smith family supports one another at every turn of their journey as Jaden forges his own path in life and work.
