Jaipur: On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation in Rajasthan, the duration of the year-long programme has now been extended by one more year. Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot announced this at a meeting of the state level committee held at the secretariat. He said, the 150th birth anniversary programmes will now be held by October 2020 with the objective of bringing Gandhiji's philosophy to the masses.

Gandhiji's ideas and workmanship is so vast that it is not possible to spread it through one year's programmes, so the Rajasthan government will organise activities and ceremonies related to Gandhiji's life philosophy for another year so that Bapu's non-violence to the maximum number of people. , reach the message of peace, simplicity and truth. Ashok Gehlot has said that this is a big task, for which a legion of volunteers has to be created to propagate Gandhi's ideas with full passion.
