Ujjain: Mahashivaratri festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Mahakal temple. In the meantime, thousands of devotees along with locals from all over the country and abroad arrived to see Lord Mahakal Baba. In 10 days of Shivnavratri, the temple committee has received income of Rs 1 crore 31 lakh 97 thousand 43 from the sale of laddus offerings and other sources. According to the temple committee, from the beginning of February 13 to February 22, more than 195 quintals of Laddoo Prasad were sold. Due to this, laddus worth Rs 50 lakh 69 thousand 940 were sold in these 10 days.

28 lakh 67 thousand 250 rupees were received from the special ticket of Rs 250. 26 lakh 38 thousand 89 rupees from donation offering box, 19 lakh 6 thousand 369 rupees from donations in Annakshetra, 19 lakh 2 thousand 46 rupees from Abhishek's gift, 90 thousand 150 rupees from the rent of Dharamshalas and the possibility of receiving 43 lakh 31 thousand  199 rupees is considered from other sources.

In the world famous Jyotirlinga Ujjain Mahakal temple, there was a surge of faith on Thursday. In which about 2 lakh devotees saw Lord Mahakal. Devotion of devotees started from the morning itself. For the first time, the queue of visitors was 4 kilometers long. Passing Harsiddhi Chauraha, 24 Khamba, Gudri Chauraha, Gopal Mandir, the queue of devotees reached Chhatrichauk. Devotees took about 5 hours in the morning to see Baba.
