On the back of Mohammed Salah, Egypt made a comeback after falling behind, defeating Morocco 2-1 in extra time to advance to their place in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations. Seven-time champions Egypt will face Cameroon on Thursday. Salah has scored one goal as well as assisted in the other. The Egyptian team was trailing 1-0 by the time. Sofiane Boufl scored on a penalty in the 7th minute to give Morocco the lead, which has managed till the interval.  

After the interval, Egypt took an aggressive stance which has benefited from it. Salah scored with a header in the 53rd minute to give Egypt a one-on-one draw. After all this, no team could score a goal till the scheduled time and the match was stretched to extra time.  

In the 100th minute, On Salah's pass, Trezeguet scored a goal to give Egypt a 2-1 victory. According to media reports, since his debut in 2017, Salah has been involved in 64 percent of Egypt's Africa Cup goals. During this time, the team scored 14 goals, out of which 9 were scored by Salah.
