Patna: Blasts started in 21 LPG cylinders at a house in the Naugachia area of Bhagalpur in Bihar. This shook the entire area. There was panic and panic among the people. People started running away from their homes. The flames of the blasts were visible far and wide. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. It is said that illegal cylinder refilling was being carried out when the accident took place.  The landlord fled the house along with his family after the incident. According to Bhagalpur SDO Yatendra Kumar Pal, a case is going to be registered against the landlord and he is going to be taken into custody soon. Action is underway as to how so many gas cylinders came to him in such a large number without a license. Police have seized more than 60 cylinders from the spot.

The incident of explosion and fire in cylinders took place around 1.15 pm on Friday. The blast started at Ramachandra Sah's house in Noniapatti in Naugachia. Several other houses around them were also engulfed in flames. Ramachandra Sah's face was also badly burnt amidst extinguishing the fire. 2 others are also scorched.  According to police, Ramchandra along with his family and children fled with the necessary home papers after the incident. His house was completely destroyed by the fire. Police have seized 63 gas cylinders kept in the Communist office in the area. Some of which were empty. There was panic after the explosion and fire in the cylinders.

The criminal Ramachandra Sah is said to have earlier worked in the India Gas Agency. He later started black marketing gas cylinders in connivance with the gas agency. He used to keep 200 to 300 cylinders at his house. It was from here that he started black marketing cylinders. SDPO Dilip Kumar has said that it is illegal to keep such a large number of cylinders in the residential area. Strict action will be taken after investigation.
