The new report says OnePlus 9 could be launched in another six months. The successor to the OnePlus 8, will be unveiled in March 2021. The 8 series was launched in April 2020 and OnePlus releases its next upgraded version in less than a year. Neither the information about the release nor the call about flagship information was released by the OnePlus.

The sources said the company is planning to release the OnePlus 9 in the mid-march by hosting an event however the event will be virtual or not is still a secret. There is no clear information about the event has been shared. The OnePlus has not shared any piece of information about the next release of its smartphone. It also maintains secrecy in naming the phone. This single piece of information tells how fats the company acts in delivering the service upgradation, predecessor of its previous model. OnePlus was released in April 2020 and a follow up to its version OnePlus 8T was released six months later in October. With the information about OnePlus 9 release in mid-march no information about its followup is made.

The expected features in OnePlus 9 includes incorporation of few features from OnePlus 8 like 65W fast charging support, 120Hz fresh rate display. It was reported the OnepLus 9 may carry the codenames lemonade, lemonadep, lemoandept, and lemoandeev, might be a four variant of the phone. An official statement by OnePlus will pour flavour to the quest.
