Saraikela-Kharsawan: A one-year-old boy died while playing with his uncle in the Saraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand. According to the police, the uncle had dropped the child from a height which led to his loss of life. The child was seriously injured as soon as he fell. The boy, Sohan Murmu, was then taken to Saraikela Sadar Hospital. The doctors there referred him to the Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur, but he succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Friday.

Saraikela police station in-charge Manohar Kumar said Sohan was playing with other members of the house, while playing, he was taken on his lap by his uncle and then forcibly dropped to the ground, on hearing his screams, the family members rushed to the spot and saw Sohan lying on the ground. Sohan's parents, along with their neighbours, tied his uncle to Dauna village where the case took place and alerted the police. Police said they have arrested the uncle and are interrogating him.

Another incident was reported from Jharkhand in which the wife of Nimai Murmu of Ghatshila police station area of East Singhbhum district left her two children and ran away with Gora Hembram of Dhalbhumgarh police station area and married him. Leaving her two children near their father. The incident reached the woman SHO Rukmini Kumari. The woman SHO listened to the woman and her first husband Nimai Murmu and her second husband Gora Hembram. The woman and her second husband said they would not take the two children with them.
