Chinese smartphone and handset maker OnePlus is now ready to launch its budget fitness band to compete with Xiaomi's Mi Band 5. The OnePlus smartwatch is in process and it would launch in the new year 2021. This smartwatch will be somehow similar with Xiaomi's Mi Band 5 which includes features like water resistance, an AMOLED display, and multi-day battery life.

In the meantime, the smartphone giant firm has been rumoured to be working on a smartwatch for a long time. The CEO of the company Pete Lau has himself confirmed about the smartwatch that it is in development and would release in future. OnePlus had recently teased the arrival of its budget smartwatch and also gives hint that it may arrive soon. But after that, the company remained silent on the plans of its releasing. 

Now, for the first time, OnePlus' CEO Pete Lau has revealed that the watch is in process. OnePlus has been launching products back to back in different categories which include TVs, wireless earphones and mid-range smartphones. Now, OnePlus is going to step into the Indian wearable segment after the launch of its first smartwatch.
