Washington: Vivekananda Yoga University in Los Angeles, U.S.A., has started its online classes. Let us say that this is the first yoga university outside India. On the occasion of the 6th International Day of Yoga in June this year, Minister of State for External Affairs V Muralitharan and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs P.P. Muralitharan and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs P.P. Muralitharan Chaudhary has jointly launched it.
The famous yoga guru in India and chancellor of the Swami Vivekananda Yoga Research Institute ( Chancellor) H.R. The first chairman of Nagendra Vivekananda Yoga University and Srinath have been made the first head. A total of 30 students have registered for online yoga classes of the university and classes have commenced from August. Prem Bhandari, head of Jaipur Foot (USA) and founder director of Vivekananda Yoga University said that students are between 28 and 71 years of age.
He said that it also includes people from the US and Canada who belong to various professions such as education, medicine, engineering and enterprise. Bhandari informed that the next semester of the university will commence from January. A university campus is also being planned to be opened in Japan to enhance its reach.
