Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has convened a meeting of party MPs in Matoshree. It is being told that only 10 MPs have attended this meeting. Let us know that Shivsen has a total of 19 MPs in the Lok Sabha. Ever since the rebellion of the MLAs led by Eknath Shinde, there has been speculation that some Shiv Sena MPs may also rebel soon. Earlier also, some MPs had advised Uddhav Thackeray to reconcile with the Eknath faction.
It is being told that 10 MPs including Gajanan Kirtikar, Arvind Sawant, Vinayak Raut, Hemant Godse, Shiritsheel Mane and Rahul Shewale have attended the meeting of Uddhav Thackeray. The rest of the MPs have not yet arrived at the meeting. In fact, Eknath Shinde has formed the government with the support of the BJP on the strength of the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs. Shinde has the support of 40 Shiv Sena MLAs and 10 independents. Since then, there have been constant reports in the media that some Shiv Sena MPs may rebel. These include names like Eknath Shinde's son Shrikant Shinde and Bhavana Gawli. Not only this, in the last meeting of Shiv Sena MPs held in Matoshree, some senior leaders had also instructed Uddhav Thackeray to reconcile with Eknath Shinde.
Let me tell you that, since the fall of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra, shiv sena leaders have been joining the Eknath faction. In the past, out of the 67 Shiv Sena councillors of the Thane Municipal Corporation, 66 had extended their support to Eknath Shinde. After this, in Navi Mumbai and Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporations also, former Shiv Sena councillors also joined the Eknath faction.
