Washington: The police have arrested 17 people from Stockton in connection with the shooting at Gurdwaras in California, USA. Dangerous weapons like machine guns, an AK-47, and handguns have been recovered from them. The police raided more than 20 locations. Among the arrested, two mafia members are wanted in India. According to the information, at least four of these people have Indian passports, and the rest are American Sikhs.

Let us tell you that on March 26 of last month, firing took place during the Nagar Kirtan organised by the Gurdwara Sacramento Sikh Society. Two people were badly injured in this incident. Thousands of people were present when the firing took place. The police have started an investigation by running a special campaign. It was named Operation Broken Sword. Its main targets were two criminal gangs that were committing crimes here. Apart from committing violent crimes, this gang is also involved in the sale of weapons.

Most of the 17 people arrested by the police are members of the local Sikh community. More than 20 locations were raided in Northern California on Sunday. According to Sutter County District Attorney Jennifer Dupre, two wanted mafia members in India have also been arrested in this case.
