Shahrukh Khan and Alia Bhatt starring 'Dear Zindagi' is li'l unusual pairing of actors but guys not Alia and SRK paired opposite to each other for sure. The film also stars Kunal Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Angad Bedi where Alia is playing Kaira who is in search of 'Perfect Life'.

There are buzz of having Pakistani artist Ali Zafar in the film but not being included in the trailer. However the makers dismissed the rumours by denying launching any trailer. 

Gauri Shinde, the director of film is quoted saying, "We have decided not to take the conventional route for this movie. We will release small videos titled Dear Zindagi take 1, take 2, take 3 and so on... The idea is to invite the viewer bit by bit into the experience of the film... It was Shah Rukh's suggestion and I was with him on that."
