New Delhi: Delhi High Court rejected the petition, in which it was also appealed to direct the Election Commission and Home Ministry to take action against Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav and Arvind Kejriwal. The petition accused the three leaders of making misleading and false statements and said that the credibility of the government and India is being harmed by this. In the petition filed by Surjit Singh Yadav, it was alleged that the opposition leaders are working to create a negative image of India. The court dismissed the petition strongly and said that Indian voters should not be underestimated.

According to reports, the petition was also about the statements of Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal in which they claimed that the central government had waived off loans worth Rs 16 lakh crore of industrialists. Rejecting this petition, the Division Bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora bluntly said that the intelligence of Indian voters will not be underestimated. They know who is telling the truth and who is lying.

Continuing its point, the High Court has said that the people of the country know who is trying to lead them and who is misleading them. Taking its point forward, the court said, "Some will mislead and some will lead." People are going to take decisions. Don't underestimate Indian voters.'' Acting Chief Justice Manmohan has also said that if any industrialist or anyone else is hurt by the statements of opposition leaders, then he can approach the court. No third party PIL is required.

This petition had also been filed by a person named Surjit Singh Yadav. He claims that he is a social activist and farmer. The petitioner has alleged that the statements of the opposition leaders have created a negative image of India and also reduced the credibility of the Central Government. He further claimed that these statements could also impact foreign investment and tourism. The court made important comments in this case and rejected the petition.
