Meira Kumar the Opposition presidential candidate for the upcoming presidential elections today addressed a press conference.
She said, "I don't think the caste identification should play a room,". "I will want that the bundle of casteism should be dumped,"
"I will face presidential polls on the plank of democratic values, inclusiveness, end of poverty, destruction of caste structure," she added.
"I have written to the collegium of MPs and MLAs and asked for their support. I have requested them to listen to the inner voice of conscience," she said.
The presidential elections are scheduled to take place on July 17.
