Jaipur: Most districts of Rajasthan have been receiving drizzles and hailstorms for the past 3 days. After which, MET Department Director Radheshyam Sharma has informed that a new disturbance has become active over the state on January 7. This has again triggered a spell of rain. It is not yet likely to provide relief from the cold.
The MET department on Friday issued an orange alert for 11 districts and a yellow alert for 14 districts. The MET department has issued an orange alert for rain in 11 out of 33 districts of Rajasthan. According to the department, lightning is also expected in many parts of the state. The MET department has issued an orange alert for rain in the capital Jaipur, Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Nagaur, Churu, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Alwar, Dausa and Bharatpur. All these districts are likely to receive hailstorms along with rain on Friday.
The 14 districts where the MET department has issued yellow alerts include Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Pali, Rajasammad, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Tonk, Bundi, Kota, Jhalawar, Baran, Sawaimadhopur, Dholpur and Karauli. These districts are also expected to receive light rain along with lightning. The MET department says the weather will start clearing after January 8.
