Mangalore: The Diwali Big Sale on the online shopping platform Flipkart has just ended. On social media, Chinmay Ramana, a customer from Mangalore, claimed that he had ordered a laptop during the Diwali sale, but in return, he received a stone with some e-waste. However, a day later, he was told that Flipkart had refunded the entire amount. Many such incidents have come to light due to the Diwali sale.

Chinmay Ramana, who is a member of Flipkart Plus, claimed that he ordered an Asus TUF Gaming F15 gaming laptop for his friend on October 15. On October 20, they received the sealed packet. According to Ramana, when he opened the box he received stones and garbage instead of a gaming laptop. He has shared photos of the packet on Twitter. Flipkart has launched an 'open box delivery' system following complaints of delivery of wrong products due to the Diwali sale season. With this, customers will be able to verify whether the product they ordered has been delivered to them or not. Through this system, the customer can ask the delivery agent to open the box before stating the One Time Password (OTP). In this way, the customer will be able to verify his product.

In Chinmaya's case, there was no open-box delivery option. So he couldn't open the box. When he did not receive the ordered product, he immediately reported the matter to Flipkart and also requested a refund. However, at the time the seller declined his request saying that the product was present in the box during shipping. Chinmay then posted on Twitter about the matter. The matter came into the news on social media. Then Flipkart took responsibility and refunded the entire amount. Then, on Monday, the customer reported that Flipkart has refunded the entire amount. Recently, a Flipkart customer found soap in the box instead of a laptop. However, after the complaint, Flipkart returned the money. There have been cases of other unusable items being received in place of goods ordered from online shopping platforms. Customers are constantly writing about this on social media.
