West Indies beat Sri Lanka 25 runs in the first T20 International match, thanks to the excellent bowling of Oshen Thomas (5 wickets) and the brilliant half-century and innings of Landil Simmons (67 *). With this, the Caribbean team has taken a 1-0 lead in the two-match T20 series. In this match, West Indies gave Sri Lanka a target of 197 runs to win. Batting first after winning the toss, the West Indies scored 196 runs at the loss of four wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. In response, the Sri Lankan team was all out for 171 runs. On behalf of the West Indies team, Oshane Thomas took five wickets for 28 runs in three overs.

According to reports, Thomas was adjudged Man of the Match for his superb bowling. Let us know that Thomas has become the third player to take five wickets in T20 international cricket from the West Indies. The first five wickets from the Caribbean team was taken by Darren Semi.
