Afghanistan, India's friendly country, is suffering from pollution these days. Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, has recorded a huge increase in the level of pollution, which has killed 17 people in the last one week. The Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan said that these people died due to health problems like respiratory infection caused by fatal pollution which is a worrying report.

On this matter, Tolo News has quoted a statement issued by the Afghan government that due to problems caused by pollution, more than 8,800 patients reached the government hospital in Kabul last week. These people were suffering from lung problems and shortness of breath. According to the Ministry of Health, more than 1,600 patients reached the hospital in a week this year compared to the previous year.

The air quality index has remained dangerous in Kabul for the last one month. According to the officials, this has happened due to the burning of substandard fuel and coal. The situation is so bad that the government has to distribute masks to people in 16 busiest areas of Kabul. Overall, it would not be wrong to say that now climate change and pollution have started showing their effects on the whole world. Recently, the recent Global Alliance on Health and Pollution (GAHP) report said that in 2017, the total globally Pollution was the cause of 15 percent of the deaths. This year, most people have lost their lives due to pollution. Not only this, 2.75 crore people around the world have become physically disabled due to pollution. China is the second place where more than 18 lakh people have died due to pollution in the year 2017.
