Mumbai: Ahead of a two-day review meeting, Maharashtra Congress unit chief Nana Patole on Friday said the maha vikas aghadi (MVA) seat-sharing talks will be held after the meeting as the party's main objective is to defeat the BJP. The MVA comprises Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UTT), Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Congress. It was in power in the state between 2019 and June 2020.

According to the report, Nana Patole further said that the Congress is organizationally strong in all the 48 Lok Sabha seats. We will brainstorm on the strategy to win as many seats as possible in the meeting. Nana Patole said that the Congress is reviewing all the 48 seats and there will be no problem in discussing seat sharing, defeating the BJP is our main objective. After this two-day review meeting of the Congress, the MVA meeting will brainstorm on the future strategy. Patole said the Congress is the only alternative to the BJP at the national level.

He further said that during the seat-sharing talks, the views of MVA allies like Communist, Samajwadi Party (SP), Farmers and Workers Party will be taken into consideration. When asked about the meeting between his ally NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Gautam Adani, Patole said that his party has no personal enmity with industrialists, but the questions raised by Rahul Gandhi about the relationship between PM Narendra Modi and Adani should be answered.
