PATNA : A day after Iftar party held at former chief minister Rabri Devi's residence in Patna, All India Council for Unity of Muslims chief Asaduddin Owaisi lashed out at  Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Tejashwi Yadav.

He said that  Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav are busy in fancy dress competition while police are taking action against Muslim youths in riots case.

In reference to incidents of intergroup conflict in Sasaram and Biharsharif, Owaisi asserted that the Nitish Kumar government has been unfairly targeting and arresting Muslim youth.

"After the racial unrest in Sasaram and Biharsharif, the Nitish-Tejashwi administration is imprisoning members of the Muslim community rather than the rioters from the Hindu community. The "secular" chief minister and deputy chief minister are involved in fancy dress competitions while the Bihar Police are taking punitive measures against Muslim youths",Owaisi said in a tweet.

On Sunday, Nitish Kumar went to Rabri Devi's home for the Iftar celebration. Nitish Kumar wore a shawl and a cap, while Tejashwi Yadav was dressed in a Pathan suit.

The Bihar Police have so far made 100 arrests and filed 15 FIRs against 104 people from both tribes. Five others were also detained by the Bihar Police for allegedly posting objectionable content on social media during Ram Navami.

The officials said that due to provocative texts, audio and video contents, communal riots flared up in Biharsharif.
