Hyderabad: On Wednesday, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president and Member of Parliament from the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency, Asaduddin Owaisi took a dig at right-wing extremists and 'bhakts' in India over their continued cry on nationalism and people's reluctance to chant 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' and other pro-nationalist slogans.

He was referring to an incident where Bihar CM Nitish Kumar was seen at a campaign rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week. He was seen sitting cross-armed while all others, including the PM, raised slogans of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' with open arms.
"Will sanghis and bhakts call Nitish Kumar anti-national and say bharat mein rahnaa hai to......bolna," Owaisi said in a post on social media platform Twitter.
Mr. Owaisi earlier took a similar dig at PM Modi for giving interview to Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar last week. “Because TV anchors were not acting well, Modi said I will bring in a better actor. He brought in a better actor. And what question does the actor asks: Aap aam kaat kar khate ho ya choos kar khate hain? Yeh koi sawaal hai? Arre deewane tereko aam khana nahin aata aur puch raha hai kaat ke khate hain ya choos ke khate hain. Aam mila toh khana padta hai usko,” Owaisi had said.
“In the interview he claims that he doesn’t sleep for more than four hours in a day. If that was the case, why are farmers committing suicide? Why were 50 kg of explosives found in Pulwama? How come two crore youths are still unemployed?,” he said.
