The Oxford-Astrazeneca vaccine may be available in the country in the first half of the coming year to prevent infection with Covid. Oxford-Astrazeneca's India chief Gagandeep Singh gave this information on Saturday. At the 93rd annual conference of FICCI, he said that in the current state of the epidemic, the vaccine is going to be made available on a wider scale and in due course of time. Mr Singh said, "We started working with Oxford University in April and we are currently expecting emergency use of this vaccine. This means that the vaccine may be available in the first half of 2021."

Oxford Vaccine Favors India: It has been learned that the Oxford-Astrazeneca vaccine is a much better option than the Moderna, Pfizer or Sputnik-V vaccine. However, scientists point out that the data revealed are still at the initial stage. It will be 70% effective on average. The vaccine produced in collaboration with Oxford University was found to be 70.4 per cent effective in the third stage test. After the 2 doses of vaccine were given to the participants, the data revealed was mixed, and the result was found to be positive. However, the effect of the vaccine in two different doses was 90 per cent in one and 62 per cent in the other.

Scientists also cautioned: It is also being said that based on the data, many scientists have said to be cautious with optimism on Oxford-AstraZeneca. He said that it is also important to remember that his figures are temporary and it is still difficult to do a complete analysis of it. According to information received, Andrew Pollard, director of the 'Oxford Vaccine Group' and chief investigator of the 'Oxford Vaccine Trial', said, "The results show that we have an effective vaccine that protects many lives. Encouragingly, we found Is that one of our doses can be approximately 90 per cent effective."
