Fortunately, Jharkhand is very rich in oxygen. Hundreds of tonnes of oxygen have been sent from Jamshedpur and Bokaro to various States including UP. It has been learned that the oxygen plant at Maubhandar adjoining Jamshedpur, which has been closed for 2 years. The plant was set up for ̈ Hindustan Copper Limited, about 50 kilometers from east Singhbhum district headquarters. The Government of India undertaking is closed due to various reasons, so this oxygen plant is also lying closed.
Plant to be commissioned in half an hour: According to the information received, Bhagwati Oxygen Plant official Himanshu Sharma points out that the production capacity of the plant is 150 tonnes per day. The quality of which is also 93 percent. The company used to give oxygen only to Hindustan Copper Limited, but the oxygen plant was also shut down after the closure of Hindustan Copper. The production capacity of the plant is to fill 200 cylinders per hour. Accordingly, about 5000 cylinders of 30 kg can be filled every day. If this plant is allowed to produce during the covid period, we have started production in just half an hour. If the district administration wants, HCL Hospital and its guest house can be made covid hospital, we will give oxygen from the pipeline.
District administration launches efforts: Initiatives are going to be launched to revive this oxygen plant. Correspondence has been made with The Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) Management. Administrative officers of the area are engaged. If the plant is commissioned, about five lakh population of Ghatshila, Musabani, Maubhandar, Dumaria, Chakulia, and Bahragora will be benefited. Ghatshila zone officer Rajiv Kumar points out that the production capacity of the plant is very good. If this oxygen plant starts tomorrow, there will be a lot of benefits. The people of this area will get a lot of oxygen. We are trying to start production soon.
