New Delhi: Politics has now begun in India after reports of China relocating a village in Arunachal Pradesh. According to media reports, China has relocated a new village in the disputed area of Arunachal Pradesh and has about 101 houses. After the report came, senior Congress leader and former finance minister P Chidambaram has targeted the Modi government. Chidambaram has tweeted that will the government give another clean chit to China?
Congress veteran leader P Chidambaram has asked the government to respond on Monday on the claims of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Tapir Gao, in which Gao had said that China has built a village of 100 houses in the controversial area inside Arunachal Pradesh. Chidambaram said 'if the BJP MP's claims are correct, would the government blame the previous governments by giving a clean chit to China.'
In a tweet, Chidambaram wrote, "The BJP MP, Tappir Gao, has alleged that in the 'disputed area' inside the Indian territory in Arunachal Pradesh, the Chinese have constructed 100-house villages, one market, and two-lane roads in the last year. If this is true, it is clear that the Chinese have changed the status quo by converting the disputed territory into a permanent settlement of Chinese citizens. What does the government say about these perplexing facts? Will, the government gives China another clean chit? Or will the government blame the earlier governments for clarifying?"
