New Delhi: Congress veteran and former Union Finance Minister P.K. Chidambaram has given his response to the Jamia firing case. Chidambaram on Friday deciphered the decision to extend the tenure of Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik on the day of the incident when a youth of Jamia was injured by the firing of youth amidst the presence of several police personnel.

This approval has been given by the Election Commission after a letter written by the Union Home Ministry regarding this.
