Due to Corona, about Rs 11 lakh crore worth of schemes have been announced by the government in three days to create a new communication of energy in the economy. But it will not have much impact on the mathematics of the government regarding the General Budget 2020-21. According to the calculations so far, the announcements made to save the country's economy from covid-19, will hardly put an additional burden of Rs 1.6 lakh crore on the general budget. The Finance Minister has made a total of 35 announcements, out of which 11 are only related to raising financial resources. The banking sector will have to bear the responsibility of implementing about a dozen schemes.
For your information, tell us tell you there are at least 10 schemes announced by the Finance Minister, which have already been announced in the budget and there is provision for them. The Finance Minister announced 15 schemes on the first day. Five of these were policy announcements related to reform, while 10 were meant to provide financial relief directly or indirectly. The total financial size of these 10 announcements was Rs 5,94,250 crore. In this, the government will have to bear the additional burden of Rs 2,500 crore, because provisions will have to be made for the contribution of employees and employers for three months in EPF.
Apart from this, on the second day i.e. Thursday, the Finance Minister made a total of nine announcements. Seven of these announcements were about financial impact. Although their total size was Rs 3.16 lakh crore, but its budget would cost an additional Rs 25,500 crore. On the third day, on Friday, the Finance Minister has announced 11, whose financial size is 1.65 thousand crore rupees. Many of these schemes related to farmers' welfare and agriculture have already been announced in the budget.
