As we eagerly waiting for Ranveer and Deepika starrer Padmavati under direction of Sanjay Leela Bhansali it keeps on delaying for shoot. The trio of SLB-Ranveer-Deepika made us waiting for film. But seems troubles are not ending easily. One more is added in its list.

Hardik Patel , the President of Patel Navnirman Sena has threatened SLB not to shoot the film otherwise he will go on strike. As the film based on Rani Padmavati of Mewar, Sanjay was planning to shoot the film in Gujarat and the Southern district of Mewar in Rajasthan to portray the real essence in film.

According to people there, Padmavati will damage the image of Rani Padmavati so party wants an assurance saying that the Rani’s portrayal will be accurate and it will not hurt the sentiment of locals of Mewar. On the same, Patel has said to Ahmedabad Mirror that: Rajasthan-based Rajput Sena’s members met me and informed that SLB has not studied the history, and could damage the image of Rani Padmavati. So, we’ve informed him to stop the production of the film and hold discussions with Rajput leaders before he begins shooting. Bhansali should give assurance of not damaging Rani Padmavati’s image, or else Patidar Navnirman Sena will hold protests against the movie across the country, and will not give permission for the film to release in Rajasthan. No director has the right to damage history for entertainment.

Waiting for Bhansali's next step in this regard. The film has huge budget of Rs 180 crores and most expensive one of Bollywood. Issue should be sorted out soon for SLB and even for us.
