New Delhi: Islamabad invited hardline separatist leaders Syed Ali Geelani and Asiya Andrabi including others to attend “Pakistan Day celebration” function conducting at its High Commission in Delhi on Wednesday. Pakistan envoy Abdul said ''This was not an issue at all as Hurriyat leaders had been attending the reception for years.'' Commenting on the issue.

He also said Hurriyat leaders have been coming to attend our receptions for years; therefore we do not find any issue as far as Pakistan is connected. Whenever separatist leaders are invited by Pakistan for events or programs controversies rose up and eyebrows get sharpened.

V K Singh had represented the government at the Pakistan National Day reception last year causing uproar. India had canceled the foreign secretary level talks with Pakistan after Abdul basit meeting with Kashmiri separatist leaders ahead of the planned meet last year.
