KARACHI, Pakistan has announced the team for the forthcoming series against Sri Lanka. Pakistan's newly-appointed coach and selector Misbah-ul-Haq announced the squad. Sarfraz Ahmed has been given the captaincy for this series. At the same time, veteran fast bowler Mohammad Aamir has got a place in the team. The 16-man squad has been selected for the Sri Lanka series. Significantly, before this, he selected the 20-member team. After training all of them in the national camp, this final team has been selected.

Due to security reasons, 10 players including T20 captain Lasith Malinga and ODI captain Dimuth Karunaratne withdrew their names.
