Beijing, China – In a major step towards global space exploration, Pakistan has formally entered into a dynamic alliance with China to contribute to the collaborative endeavor of constructing a lunar research station at the moon's southern pole. This historic partnership reached a pivotal milestone when Pakistan's interim Prime Minister, Anwar ul Haq Kakar, and Chinese Premier Li Qiang presided over the signing of an initial cooperation agreement in Beijing on a significant Wednesday.

In an exclusive joint communiqué issued by the People's Republic of China and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, both nations convened to assess and express contentment with their existing accords regarding the International Lunar Research Station, a visionary initiative spearheaded by China with participation from various international counterparts. Emphasizing their unwavering commitment to expanding their shared space domain collaboration, both nations are poised to embark on pioneering missions in the space arena.

The China National Space Administration, in its latest declaration, revealed that this multi-faceted partnership would encompass a wide array of domains, encompassing engineering and operational aspects integral to China's lunar base program. China, which has set its sights on ascending to the status of a prominent space superpower by 2030, has previously solidified cooperation with other nations, including Russia, Venezuela, and South Africa, in their concerted pursuit of lunar exploration.

Notably, China has established a concrete objective of landing astronauts on the moon's surface before the close of this decade. This formidable undertaking coincides with NASA's ambitious Artemis program, which aspires to reintroduce U.S. astronauts to the lunar terrain by December 2025, barring any unforeseen delays. This surge in international cooperation in lunar exploration is testament to the collaborative spirit that propels humanity's ambitions in the vast expanse of space.
