Islamabad: On Saturday, Pakistan Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa visited troops at the Line of Control (LoC) in PoK today and told them to be prepared to face any eventuality. Bajwa’s visit to the LoC and his subsequent statement to the troops comes after army spokesperson Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor warned India against any “misadventure” and said that the country is capable to give befitting reply if it is attacked.

"We hope you will not mess up with us," military spokesman Major General Asif Ghafoor told a press briefing in the garrison city of Rawalpindi, the second such message Pakistan has sent to New Delhi in as many days. Earlier, PM Imran Khan authorised the army to "respond decisively and comprehensively" in case India attacks Pakistan.
In recent days tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbours escalated after 40 CRPF personnel were killed in a suicide bombing attack in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) claimed responsibility for the attack. Later, the Indian security forces launched an operation and eliminated the JeM leadership from the valley 100 hours after the terror attack took place.

While India has blamed Pakistan for the terror attack, Islamabad has denied its involvement and “assured” New Delhi of investigating the matter if "actionable intelligence" is shared with them. Later in the evening today, Pakistan's interior ministry declared that authorities had seized control of a complex which is believed to be the JeM headquarters. Apart from this, the army also took control of two seminaries linked to the banned terror outfit.
