ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's aviation authority on Saturday fired 15 more pilots for holding suspicious licenses who filled the country with false identity. Along with these 15, a total of 93 such fake pilots have been put up so far. All of them have been dismissed from the post by the Aviation Division last Friday. According to reports, they are among the 262 pilots holding suspected licenses, who were taken under the scrutiny of the Ministry of Aviation last month. The licenses of 28 other pilots have already been canceled.

The representative of the Aviation Division, Abdul Sattar Khokhar, has said that a total of 262 pilots have been identified by the Board of Inquiry as fake licenses. On the instructions of the government, immediately after identification, they were taken in front of everyone. He said that out of these 262 pilots, the Federal Cabinet has approved the cancellation of 28 licenses. It is also being said that these 28 pilots cannot do any flying duty, and their licenses have been suspended after due legal procedures, in addition to which the pilots may get an opportunity to be heard. The issue was discussed by the cabinet twice before the decision.

The process of verification of the license of 93 pilots has been issued. But investigation of remaining 141 cases is expected to be completed within one week. Khokhar, who is also Senior Joint Secretary, said that necessary disciplinary action is to be done with the entire process of investigation and verification. This will be personally monitored by Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan himself. It is also being said that Seren Air, a private aircraft carrier, has stopped paying salaries to its pilots and the first employees holding fake licenses. The airline's Ministry of Human Resources informed them that they are not going to be paid from June 29 until problems arise. Earlier, the aviation division has provided a list of 10 pilots of private airline with fake licenses. Three out of 10 pilots had already left the airline, while the rest were caught.
