Islamabad: A major bomb blast took place in Pakistan's Quetta city. The blast took place inside a mosque. According to information, five people were killed in the blast while about 15 people were injured. The blast took place when people came here to offer Friday prayers. After the blast, there was panic in the mosque. Relief and rescue operations have also been started immediately.
According to information received from Pakistan Police, the bomb blast took place inside a mosque in The Pak area of Balochistan. The blast was carried out through ED, which was planted under the Bridgeport of the mosque. Photographs after the blast show that the walls and ceilings of the mosque have been badly damaged.
This is the fourth blast in the last four weeks in the Quetta area. On July 23, at least three people were killed and 18 others injured in a bomb attack in the eastern bypass area of Quetta. Earlier on July 30, there was an explosion near a police station, killing five people and injuring 30 others. The banned militant outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan claimed responsibility for the blast.
