Karachi: General elections are scheduled to be held on 25 July 2018 in Pakistan. This time there are five contenders who are dreaming of becoming prime minister.

Imran Khan

Imran Khan is known for his all-around performance in the cricket field. He stated his political inning with Pakistan Tehreef-e-Insaf (PTI) in 1996. He has submitted his nomination from NA-35 and good chance to win the election.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

Bilawal Bhutto can get the benefit of being son of Benazir Bhutto. He is chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and he is contesting from NA246 (Larkana). He can play the role of kingmaker in case of no absolute majority.

Shahbaz Sharif

Shahbaz Sharif is the younger brother of Nawaz Sharif although is not popular as Nawaz and his daughter Maryam Sharif still he is one of the biggest opponents of Imran Khan. He is contesting from NA08 (Malakand).

 

Chaudary Nisar Ali khan 

He was a member of PML-N but he parted ways in 2018. He even rejected the offer of Imran Khan to join PTI and now he is contesting from NA 63 independently.

Hafiz Khalid Waleed

He is the controversial candidate as he is the son of the international terrorist Hafiz Saeed. He is contesting from PP-167 among others.
