Kashmir issue: Pakistan presented 115 pages of lies in UNHRC

Geneva: After the removal of Article 370 of the Constitution from Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan has blamed on India on this issue by means of a 115-page set of lies in the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). Pakistan, while raising the issue of Kashmir in the United Nations Security Council (UNHRC), alleged that India has turned Kashmir into a prison.

On behalf of Pakistan, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi raised the Kashmir issue in UNHRC. Qureshi said that Hurriyat Conference leaders have been under house arrest for the past six weeks. He said that 'Occupied Kashmir' has been made the world's largest prison. Qureshi told the delegates, "We have submitted a copy of the BBC report to all of you. You should read it in which the Kashmiris themselves are making a statement of atrocities on their mouths."

Qureshi said that India describes itself as the largest democracy in the world, while it is trying to make Kashmiri majority a minority. Qureshi further said that the British media has exposed the atrocities in Kashmir. There is a huge shortage of medicines. He urged the international community to intervene to resolve the Kashmir issue.
