Pak will raise human rights issue of Jammu and Kashmir in UN speech

Islamabad: Pakistan is not ready to leave the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi separated at the last moment of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) session in Geneva on Tuesday, i.e. 25 February 2020. After which it is believed that Pakistan's Human Rights Minister Sheerin Mazari will speak in the UN. Mazari, who had earlier accused the European Union of adopting a discriminatory attitude by not mentioning India's human rights violations in Kashmir. It is believed that he will raise the CAA issue to talk about religious persecution. This law gives citizenship of India to minorities who have suffered religious persecution from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.

As a representative of India, Secretary UNHRC can be addressed on 26 February 2020. Where Pakistan will respond to the allegations. Like the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), Pakistan does not have the support of its close allies Malaysia and Turkey in the 47-member UNHRC.

It is also being said that though Pakistan is waiting for the month of March to take its next step against India when China will take over the presidency of UNSC.
