Bhopal: Former Madhya Pradesh CM Digvijay Singh has sent a letter to PM Narendra Modi raising questions on the formation of a trust for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. They say that the Ramalaya Trust is already there for the construction of the temple, so what was the need to set up a new trust. Former CM Digvijay Singh has written in a letter to PM Modi that "Supreme Court has ordered for Ramchandra Ji's temple to be built in Ayodhya, which no one has any objection".

Digvijay Singh further said, "Ramalaya Trust was formed during the era of former PM Narasimha Rao to build the temple. When there is already a trust, there is no justification for the formation of a new separate trust. No certified Jagatguru Shankaracharya has been given a place in the new trust." Singh further wrote to this trust, which has been nominated by the name of Shankaracharya, Vasudevananda Ji has been separated by the judiciary and Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swamy Swaroopanand Saraswati has expressed his opinion. Five Shankaracharyas of Sanatan Dharma have benches in the country, out of them only the chairman of the trust is appropriate to include, which is not.

Singh alleges that some such people have been included in this trust who are criminals in the Babri Masjid case and are still on bail. Singh has lodged objections to the inclusion of Champat Rai, Anil Mishra, Kameshwar Chaupal and Govind Dev Giri in the trust.
